From IMMI

The International Modern Media Institute is an Iceland-based foundation working towards rethinking media regulation, securing free speech and defining new operating principles for the global media in the digital age. We want to help better protect freedom of the press the world over by researching best practices in law and promoting their widespread adoption.

We drafted the Icelandic Modern Media Initiative, a parliamentary resolution which the Icelandic Parliament unanimously adopted, tasking the government with implementing various protections.

IMMI, the institute, aims to further drive the implementation of this legal framework as well as help scholars, activists and lawmakers achieve similar legislative change in their own countries. The video below focuses on Iceland but does an excellent job of explaining the ideas behind IMMI.
